Yankee slugger's new blonde seen leaving his apartment Sunday morning.
Cameron Diaz and Alex Rodriguez, rumored to have been dating since February, are now spending the night together. Us Weekly posted a snap of Cameron leaving Alex's apartment building on Sunday morning, carrying what looked like an overnight bag. We certainly hope that he still has his Alex-as-centaur portraits up!
Alex and Cameron were first linked when they flirted at CAA's Super Bowl party in Miami, where he lives in the off-season, and where she grew up. Sources told Life & Style that CamRod had a series of "secret dates" while Alex was in Tampa for spring training, and Friday night they were spotted out at New York's Macao Trading Company with Cameron's Charlie's Angels costar Drew Barrymore. "Cameron ordered for A-Rod before he got there," a source told Us. "She asked for plain steamed fish with vegetables." New Book Claims That Diet Is The Key To Great Sex
Then Saturday night they had dinner with newly single Kate Winslet, who costarred with Cameron in The Holiday. (And just when we'd forgotten that abomination of a film.) The three dined at Hotel Griffin, according to The New York Post. "They all shared a delicious meal and several bottles of French red wine," a source said. And then Sunday morning Cameron did a short walk of shame from the front door of Alex's building to a waiting SUV. Love Bytes: Embrace The Walk Of Shame
Yankee fans are hoping Cameron will have the same effect on Alex's game that his romance with Kate Hudson did last season. (After years of underperforming in the postseason, he helped the Yankees win their first World Series since 2000.) She certainly hasn't hurt—the Yankees are one game out of first place in the American League East.
Kate is reportedly super pissed about Alex and Cameron's romance, although we think she shouldn't have been surprised: Cameron is exactly the type he always goes for, an athletic blonde. He met his ex-wife, former volleyball player Cynthia Scurtis Rodriguez, at the gym, and he dated ripped-arms enthusiast Madonna in 2008. Then there's lithe and lovely Kate, who could convincingly play Cameron's sister if she could get over her blind hatred. And we recommend she does. After all, when CamRod ends, and it will, Cameron will need someone to cry to about how he was a self-involved shmuck who was always asking if she liked him better than she liked Derek Jeter.
