Sandra Bullock's Master Divorce Plan

We recently reported that Sandra Bullock was spotted without her wedding ring last week while out on a "hike." (Hike = photo opp set up by Getty Images.) And although we originally heard that Entertainment Tonight snagged the exclusive photos for $60,000, it turns out that the show actually paid close to $100K. Now, an inside source is revealing that Sandra has a "master plan" to divorce estranged husband Jesse James.

The infidelity scandal has broken her heart, and they will divorce...She is trying to pick her way through the mess and all the stress of knowing his three children will be hurt no matter what happens. The kids are what is holding her back from filing for the divorce immediately. It's been tough and she wants to find a balance for them - they deserve some stability, even through the divorce.

With Jesse in rehab, she is trying to tread lightly.  Sandra is doing this on her own timeline and refuses to budge or give in to people who say she should divorce him immediately. Jesse and his children are her family and in some ways always will be. She is not ready to scrap it all as fast as possible. She's taken some time off and plans to stay out of the spotlight... The source also says that, while Sandra saw a side of Jesse that the public never did, she has now come to grips with the fact that her husband is "not the guy she thought he was," and that he was pretty much playing her the whole time they were married.

This is just the kind of classy move we would expect from Sandra. Instead of taking the easy "woman scorned" route, she's slowly inching down the path toward freedom out of concern for her stepchildren. It's too bad that Jesse didn't care enough about his family to not be the selfish pig that caused them all this public humiliation in the first place.
