We haven't really kept up with Hugh Hefner's love live since his former live-in girlfriends, Holly Madison, Bridget Marquardt and Kendra Wilkinson - who all starred on the Playboy-themed reality show, The Girls Next Door - moved out of the mansion and onto other men. But it seems that the 84-year-old has fallen in love (or, at the very least, lust) with a 24-year-old Playmate named Crystal Harris. And, despite proclaiming that he would never marry again, Hef proposed to her on Christmas Eve!
The Playboy founder announced the news on Twitter, writing:
"After the movie tonight, Crystal & I exchanged gifts. I gave Crystal a ring. A truly memorable Christmas Eve...When I gave Crystal the ring, she burst into tears. This is the happiest Christmas weekend in memory." Hugh Hefner Just Wants To Be Adored By Women
Later, Hef clarified that the ring was in fact an engagement one:
"Yes, the ring I gave Crystal is an engagement ring. I didn’t mean to make a mystery out of it..."
This will be the third marriage for the 84-year-old mogul, who is a whopping 60 years older than his fiancée. He was formerly married to Milded Williams (his college sweetheart who reportedly cheated on him after he went into the military) and Playmate Kimberly Conrad (who he separated from in 1998 but didn't officially divorce until 2010.)
Crystal, who posed nude for the December 2009 issue of Playboy, initially moved into the Playboy Mansion (and officially became one of Hef's girlfriends) in January 2009, just a few months after Holly, Bridget, and Kendra all moved out. And although Crystal initially had to share Hef with 20-year-old identical twins named Karissa and Karen, they too moved out in January 2010, leaving Crystal to become, not only Hef's main girlfriend, but his future wife! Sex With Playmates Nearly Kills Hugh Hefner
Although one of Hef's exes, Kendra Wilkinson, seemed truly happy for him and tweeted her congratulations to the happy couple, we're guessing that his other ex, Holly, who just turned 31, was not so happy to hear the news. We're thinking that it has to burn her a bit that even though she was very vocal about wanting to get married during the EIGHT years that they dated, Hef put her off, claiming he never wanted to walk down the aisle again again:
"I love Holly very much and I think we’re going to be together the rest of my life, but marriage isn’t part of my puzzle. It’s not a personal thing; I just haven’t had much luck with marriages," he stated in 2008. The Reason Behind Hef And Holly's Breakup
And then he goes and gets engaged to the rebound girlfriend, who he's only been with for a little less than 2 years! Poor Holly. Although we guess an 84-year-old man is entitled to his happiness - In any case, best wishes to Hef and Crystal. Here's hoping the third time's the charm!
