Shania Twain To Marry Frederic Thiebaud

Country singing sensation Shania Twain may have divorced ex-husband and Grammy-winning producer Robert "Mutt" Lange this past summer after fourteen years of marriage. But, for a beautiful lady like her, landing on her feet wasn't a problem - especially since the 45-year-old songstress is now engaged to be married to 40-year-old Swiss executive, Frederic Thiebaud.

If you're not in the loop, this love story has quite the twist: Frederic is the ex-husband of Marie-Anne Thiebaud who was not only her ex-husband's mistress in 2008, but now her former best friend -- and Robert's current girlfriend.

Yes, this is a quadrangle to rival most soap operas, that's for sure. But despite her ex's doggish behavior, Shania's definitely happy now. According to what we're reading in People, the engagement, solidified with three-carat solitaire diamond ring, has been on for a couple of months. And US Weekly digs a little deeper by quoting a pal of the singer: "I've never seen Shania so happy." The friend also goes on to say that Shania "has ended up with the love of her life." It definitely seems that what Shania and Frederic are sharing is the real deal. She'd even written on her website that Frederic "is a dear friend and true gentleman We leaned on one another though the ups and downs, taking turns holding each other up. We've become stronger and closer through it all."

We're thinking that while this love web seems a little tangled, it's great that Shania's found a man that can make her feel like a woman (small pun intended there.) After all, with the kind of betrayal she experienced, she needed someone who understood. This should mean we shouldn't hear of more sticky love web issues or hear of one of them cheating on each other!

So, hats off to Shania. She's definitely proven that even when your man does you wrong, you can still get the last laugh.
