10 Most Romantic Movie Moments

By

This is a beautiful romantic love story set against the backdrop of a historical and tragic event.  Star-crossed lovers, Kate Winslet and Leonardo Dicaprio have many romantic moments in this blockbuster movie but who could forget the scene when Winslet is at the bow of the ship with her arms stretched out.  “Fly,” she says as “My Heart Will Go On” plays in the background.

The Notebook (2004)
Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling star in this warm-hearted story about two young kids in love, who come from opposite social worlds.  The story is being told by an elderly man, James Garner to his wife, Gena Rowlands who is now in a nursing home with dementia.  The story, chronicled in a notebook, goes back and forth from past to present. Near the end, the elderly woman realizes that the story is about her.  As she begins to recall some of the memoires, we soon find out that she was the one who wrote the story when she first found out about her illness.  Like many great romance movies, the ending holds one of the most intimate scenes as the couple is found lying in the hospital bed together, having died the evening before holding hands.

Honorable Mentions:
An Affair to Remember, Jerry McGuire, Sleepless in Seattle, When Harry Met Sally and Notting Hill.
