It's A Boy For John Travolta & Kelly Preston

Special delivery! After months of anticipation, a boy bundle of joy arrived yesterday for actors John Travolta and Kelly Preston. Born in a Florida hospital, the couple's new son Benjamin weighed in at a healthy eight pounds, three ounces.

"John, Kelly, and their daughter Ella Bleu are ecstatic and very happy about the newest member of the family," read a statement released by Travolta and Preston. "Both mother and baby are healthy and doing beautifully."

The newborn’s arrival was a welcome addition after a harrowing few years for the family - as 16-year-old son Jett passed away of a seizure during a family vacation to the Bahamas in early 2009. According to Preston, 48, her pregnancy was a time of joy and renewal for the family, as the couple had long-held high hopes of having another child. A Happy Ending For John Travolta, Kelly Preston?

"We tried for several years, and we didn't think it was going to happen for us,” Travolta told reporters earlier this year. "This is a miracle, and we feel blessed and we are so moved by the generous outpouring of support and goodwill we've received from people all over the world."

10-year-old Ella Bleu joined in the fun as well, helping mom Preston decorate the nursery (along with friend Kirstie Alley) and eagerly looking forward to earning "big sister" status. Travolta did his part by singing to the baby and lavishing Preston with much-needed back rubs and trips to the spa—or as Preston put it to People, "so many wonderful husbandly things."

"Johnny loves me pregnant, which is very lucky…. You just—you feel very much a woman," Preston also told Entertainment Tonight.

Let’s hope the warm fuzzies are long-lasting and that Travolta keeps pampering Preston; after all, the pair likely has a lot of sleepless nights in their future! But it sounds like these two are devoted to making every minute count…even the early AM ones.
