Eva Longoria & Tony Parker's Divorce Is Getting Ugly

After Eva files divorce papers in California, Tony countersues, filing in Texas.

It's looking like Eva Longoria and Tony Parker are headed for a NASTY divorce. As you know, Eva filed for divorce in California last week amid allegations Tony was having an affair with his teammate's wife. But Tony wasn't about to go down without a fight. The San Antonio Spurs star countersued Eva, filing divorce papers in Texas (where Sandra Bullock happened to get a lickety-split divorce from her cheating hubby, Jesse James not too long ago). Sounds to us like Tony is ready to get rid of all legal ties to Eva as fast as possible....

According to Radar Online, divorce proceedings in California take at least six months, but in Texas you can get your divorce over and done with in just two months. Could it be that Tony is already looking to move on, perhaps with Brent Berry's (his teammate on the Spurs) wife, Erin Berry? (Talk about tension in the locker room!) Although Tony insists he never had a "physical" affair with Erin, Brent recently filed for divorce as well, making it look to us like something must have been going on. And isn't sexting with your teammate's wife, while you're still married count as cheating on some level?

So we're wondering if Tony is anxious to end his marriage with Eva, so he can move on with Erin Berry? Perhaps, he's looking to remarry already (he is French after all) or for an even more scandalous speculation, maybe he's gotten Ms. Berry pregnant (which isn't too absurd a thought, considering we're talking about celebrity love lives here.) But man, wouldn't that break Eva's heart—she's talked about wanting a baby ever since she got hitched to Tony!

Or, maybe Tony's just looking to protect his new $50 million contract with the Spurs from going to his soon-to-be ex-wife? In the divorce papers Eva filed, the Desperate Housewives star mentioned the existence of a pre-nup, but Tony's divorce papers apparently suggested there was no pre-nup. We're guessing that means that if there is one, the NBA player is gonna owe his wife a pretty sizable chunk of change for cheating on her, including perhaps half of that $50 million contract he just signed. So perhaps Tony had decided a quickie Texas-style divorce could prevent Eva from getting access to his future pot of gold? (Or, maybe he thinks a Texas judge will rule in his favor, since he's a big star there and all.)

Well, for now Texas and California will duke it out over who will host the Tony Parker-Eva Longoria divorce battle, but one thing is for sure, things are set up to get ugly fast. After all, if the formally inseparable couple can't even agree on a state to divorce (or who's divorcing whom), it doesn't look like they'll be parting amicably.
