Although more and more teenage girls are jumping into bed to have sex for the first time without much thought, there are still millions of young women who are waiting for the right time. But when is the right time, and how can you tell, the time is right for you. You can help find the answer to this by asking yourself four simple questions...

Question 1. Do you physically and mentally feel ready? This isn't always easy to answer because everyone feels apprehensive and a little unprepared. However, if you really feel unsure then it's probably not the right time for you.

Question 2. Have you chosen the right partner? Just because he's your boyfriend does not automatically mean he's the right person to share your first time with.

Question 3. Are you aware of the possible consequences of having sex? You are not immune from pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections just because it's your first time. You must always act in a sensible manner and take the necessary precautions.

Question 4. Do you feeling pressurized into having sex? Whether it be from your boyfriend, or simply from peer pressure, don't let others influence your decision. It's your body and it's your life, nobody else's.
