Martha Stewart Tries Out Pole Dancing
Everyone's favorite domestic diva gets a little raunchy.

Just the other day, domestic diva Martha Stewart took up pole dancing (albeit briefly). Stewart had Sheila Kelley—creator of The S Factor—as a guest on her show, and Kelley took the opportunity to teach our favorite homemaker how to swivel her hips and spin around a stripper pole. The 68-year-old talk show host seemed initially wary but, once she took to the pole, it was obvious she was enjoying herself.

Our favorite part of the whole shebang is when we hear Kelley say, "Oh my god, I'm so high!" after doing what Stewart refers to as "the upside-down thing." That and just seeing how much fun Stewart is having makes us really miss our cardio striptease days. Has pole dancing jumped the shark? Obviously. A long time ago. But we totally don't care.

So why is Stewart's stripper pole experiment news? It has nothing to do with her age, but rather the fact that this is a woman we typically associate with doilies and pretty place settings. When you think about it, though, sex and seduction are such important aspects of having a happy home life, and she should focus on things like this more often. Some other things we'd like to see Stewart endorse and/or try out?

1. Top Seduction Techniques. Because we don't have a clue (we usually just show some cleavage), and there are those of us who feel more comfortable soliciting advice from Martha Stewart rather than the more high-profile sexperts out there. And when it comes to long-term relationships, there are a lot of couples who have trouble keeping the spark alive.

2. Tantric Sex. Because tantra is supposed to bring a couple closer, both in and out of the bedroom, and some of those Kama Sutra positions really do improve things beneath the sheets.

3. Vibrators. We'd love it if Martha would conduct an on-air show-and-tell. Vibrator use teaches women about their bodies, reduces stress levels and even helps to spice up couple sex play. But there are are still so many women who feel weird about buying and using such toys, and having someone as mainstream as Martha reviewing vibrators may make people more comfortable with the idea.

4. Sex-Positive, Women-Friendly Sex Shops. Speaking of sex toys, more people should know about the so-not-scary, women-friendly sex shops like Babeland, Good Vibrations and Grand Opening.

5. Sensate Focus Exercises. Also known as non-demand pleasuring, sensane focus exercises help a couple reconnect with the pleasures that can be derived by different types of touch. This is such a great activity for couples who have overloaded on housework to the extent that their sex life is suffering. We can't all be like Martha Stewart!

Get on this, Martha!
