At 51, Madonna Desperate For A Baby With Jesus Luz

It's true, the once fierce Madonna has become a sad joke. Queue last weeks episode of 30 Rock:

Liz Lemon: You can try to fight getting older. You can be like Madonna and cling to youth with your Gollum arms. Or you can be like Meryl Streep and embrace your age with elegance.

Jenna: So you're saying it's a choice, between the dignity of middle age or the illusion of youth?

Liz Lemon: Two paths: Meryl Streep or Madonna.

Sigh...

The latest news has Madge consulting doctors about conceiving another child at the age of 51 with her Brazillian boyfriend, Jesus — nearly thirty years her junior.

Per The Sun, the "deeply religious" and "deeply in love" Jesus "adores her kids, but has always wanted a child of his own."

For her part, Madonna thinks that Jesus would make a "fantastic dad" and has told friends: "I have endless love in my heart for another child."

And while she may have "endless love" for another child, she most certainly does not have endless eggs or womb-time. At 51, the window of opportunity for conception is narrowing. And as Celebitchy points out, "Most US fertility clinics have age limits for attempting pregnancy in post menopausal women, with the most liberal going up to 52."

Nevertheless, the Grand Dame of pop is soldiering on:

[Jesus] told Em fatherhood would be his greatest adventure, and that he wanted to go on this journey with her."

A close pal, who calls Madonna by her preferred nickname Em, said: "Em says motherhood is her greatest achievement and the most fulfilling thing in her life.

"She knows that, at 51, it's going to be harder to conceive naturally. But she is Olympic-athlete fit and is ready for the challenge."[Source: The Sun]

If successful, this would be the fifth child for Madonna: There's daughter Lourdes, 13, by Carlos Leon and son Rocco, nine, by ex-husband Guy Ritchie, plus the adopted Malawian orphans David Banda and Mercy James, both four.
