Thinking of you...

This guy broke up with me. He was always very flattering and so on..for almost four months straight. Then..out of the blue, he said he wasn't "feeling it" even though he adores me and loves being around me. Totally confusing. Anyway, a month passes, and I get a text.."thinking of you" WTF? I'm really confused. What should I do? So far, it's been no contact because I have to heal. What would you do?

Comment: Actions speak much, much louder than words. He may say 'I adore U' or 'I enjoy being around you BUT.....' What he is really saying in my opinion is 'I do not respect you- I do not respect myself' There are a lot of sensitive, caring gentlemen out there who will treat you with the respect you need, want and deserve babe!! When U take out the garbage, you don't go back to the curb and see if there was anything worthwhile you tossed out - do you? Getting rid of this guy is a decision you won't regret in the long-term. Get over the initial hurt and confusion and allow yourself to find a respectful man. It will save you more hurt in the long run when he may later say 'he's not into you' again and again. The guy to me is a player. I say text him the number of the local SPCA so he can find something to 'adore' and 'to enjoy being around'. Maybe he can follow Bob Barker's advice and get spade or neutered. LOL We don't need anymore jerks in this world who give us respectful gentleman who believe in chivalry and mutual respect the danger of being grouped in the same class as him. Good Luck and Good Healing! You are a beautiful lady! You deseve the BEST- Be patient and Mr. Right 4 U will Love U and Respect U!!!!

Sounds like a booty call to me . . .

I disagree. Maybe he has been going through some things he needed to think through and couldn't share it with you at the time. Give him another shot.

OMG get a spine and respect yourself because he obviously doesn't.

Sounds like he is confused too! He is giving you mixed messages and not respecting you by not being consistent. I say, ignore his text. If he was really being kind he would apologize for sending you mixed messages. True kindness is not flattery, its respecting someone by not yanking them around.

Thank you . This really helped! It's been very confusing, and I have had a hard time coming to closure with it so..thanks. In the end, I realize that how he ended the relationship is the number one bad sign. It shows cowardliness as well as disrespect. If he really cared for me, he would have bothered to meet face to face. Some days I miss him..but I don't contact because you just can't reward or entertain disrespect. Thanks again.
