The award-winning actress talks about moving on with Ellen DeGeneres.

Us Magazine reports that on yesterday’s episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Ellen decided she wanted to play matchmaker with guest Anne Hathaway. The talk show host stated she was quite an adept matchmaker and asked Hathaway what kind of man she desired. Hathaway replied, “Well, at this point I would just like him to be law abiding.”

As many news reports have stated, Hathaway broke it off with ex-boyfriend, Raffaello Folliero, who is currently serving four years in prison for conspiracy, wire fraud and money laundering. The highly publicized split in June amid a media hailstorm she admits left her in tears. The star of The Devil Wears Prada says her sense of humor pulled her through though, saying, “I'm sobbing, and I look up and I start laughing and said, 'This is going to make a great opening monologue on SNL.' So then, two weeks later I got the call that I was going to be on the show. I was like, 'You know what, I'm going to get through it. I'm going to laugh first and nobody is going to be able to laugh at me, and eventually it will just be something that happened to me' and now it is. I'm so thrilled.”

If you have ever had something like this happen to you, it can be really unsettling. You think you know someone and then your whole world turns upside down. It can make you question your own judgment. If you are struggling with something like this, take a page from Hathaway’s book and accept what has happened with the aid of some humor. Considering that Hathaway looks amazing and has gotten critical acclaim and a Critic’s Choice Award for her performance in Rachel Getting Married, she’s proof that living well is the best revenge. It looks like she's ready to move on from this whole mess and love again and we couldn't be happier for her.
