We told you yesterday that reports have been spreading like wildfire that Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson had a total blowout argument over New Year’s Eve. Pink Is The New Blog reports that Lindsay has taken to her trusty MySpace blog again to rebuke the press for reporting that she and the DJ had broken up. Lindsay says on her blog: "RUMORS. little piece of TRUE information: we did NOT break up! access hollywood, extra, et, every tabloid, page six… AND every GOSSIP website. Get your stories straight please. It’s really annoying to have all of your friends emailing you saying, i saw, i read, etc… NOT TRUE. :) xoxox Lindsay"
So, it appears that the duo are still together for now and that Linds has decided to protect their relationship, despite all the rumors to the contrary.
Let me be clear on my standpoint on this relationship: I am a fan of this couple as long as it’s healthy for the two of them to be together. I have been a fan of Lindsay and Sam since the beginning because I saw Lindsay getting her career back on track and I think Samantha had something to do with that and, quite honestly, the couple seemed really happy together. However, if the reports are true and there was physical violence involved in that hotel on New Year’s Day, then it needs to end. I don’t care who started it, I don’t care who finished it: violence in a relationship is too much drama and neither of them should be involved in a situation where all-out screaming and beating each other is acceptable behavior.
Look, no matter what the situation really is, if Lindsay and Sam make it through this situation in tact and the relationship is healthy and violence-free, I will continue to support them but if the reports of a smackdown in the hotel are viable and true, then I stand by what I wrote before: the relationship should end (again, not that it has) for the well-being of both people involved.
