Britney Spears' agent/boyfriend Jason Trawick did not flee Australia in tears after his wedding proposal to the pop princess was rejected. No, that role has already been given to Katie Price's fiancé-reject Alex Reid. Katie Price Dumps Boyfriend After He Proposes
Last week, an OK! magazine cover story seemed to suggest that a marriage between Spears, 27, and Trawick, 37, was inevitable:
OK! has learned that Britney Spears is telling friends she's ready to marry her boyfriend Jason Trawick. And all it took was her boys' blessing to convince her to move ahead with plans for her third wedding in five years.
Britney said she does not have a doubt in her mind that she wants to spend the rest of her life with Jason," a source close to the couple tells OK!. "She has already discussed marriage with him, and they are both excited about a romantic wedding." [Source: OK! Magazine]
Break-up rumors started buzzing after the seemingly infatuated Trawick left Australia, where Britney was on tour, right before the holidays. "There was no proposal and they were never engaged," a source close to the couple told People magazine, adding that rumors to the contrary are "100 percent absolutely false."
"Jason spent more time in Australia than originally planned," says the source, suggesting that his departure was simply a matter of logistics.
Which makes sense. Unlike Britney's former love-interests, Jason Trawick actually has something going on in his life beside leeching off of his girlfriend. As our friends over at PopEater point out: He has a job, his own money, hasn't been convicted of any felonies and he seems to love Britney just as she is. Even Mama Spears approves, telling Us magazine: "He's the kind of man you would dream of your daughter marrying. The kids love him, and he's stable."
Now that Britney is back in the States, and with Christmas and New Years right around the corner, perhaps there is still time for the much-hyped holiday proposal.
