Eddie Cibrian Sues Mag For LeAnn Story
Furious over the "Eddie is Cheating on LeAnn Already" story, the star asks for a cool million.

How far does Eddie Cibrian need to go to prove to LeAnn that he is, in fact, not a serial two-timer? Do you think a lawsuit is helping his case?
You know the saying, "where there's smoke, there's fire?" Hmm... Suspicious Signs That He Might Be Cheating
TMZ is reporting that Eddie Cibrian is suing Life & Style weekly for more than $1 million, allegedly for "falsely portray[ing] Eddie as being unfaithful to Ms. Rimes, as currently being in a romantic relationship with Ms. Jancan, and as having abandoned his children."
In an article entitled Eddie is Cheating on LeAnn Already, the magazine implicates the soon-to-be-divorced already-acknowledged-adulterer to having regular hook-up session with aspiring actress Scheana Jancan. That would be just months after his wife of eight years, Brandi Glanville, filed for divorce once his infidelities with the pop country crooner became too big to ignore. Is Eddie Cibrian Cheating On LeAnn Rimes?
According to the suit, Cibrian claims the stories the mag published were "rife with demonstrably false accusations" that led to "hundreds of articles" alleging infidelity on Cibrian's part.
And from his manager we get this:
Unfortunately Life & Style Magazine has chosen to go out with a story filled with inaccuracies and deceitful lies, presumably to titillate sales, but clearly resulting in harm to Eddie Cibrian and others. This is irresponsible and reckless journalism," the actor's manager, Steve Sauer, tells E! News.
Eddie has met with his attorneys and will be filing a suit for libel and other actionable grounds shortly. It's a shame that Life & Style resorted to a story of this nature, and they will regretfully now have to face scrutiny of untruthful reporting in a court proceeding." [Source: E! News]
Sorry, but according to this CelebLover's teensy, weensy bit of media law, Eddie just might have difficulty proving defamation by this story in court. For all that this story implies, it's incapable of causing further defamation of his already negative image, right?
In other words, your reputation can only go so low. It's like Madoff suing for being a cheat in cards!
