Robin Wright Penn Says Divorce Should Be Private
Sean Penn's ex (or wife, hard to tell) says her divorce details are none of your beeswax.
Actress Robin Wright Penn is angry details of her divorce have leaded to the media, because she feels two celebrities should be allowed to end their marriage respectfully.
The Forrest Gump star filed for divorce from Sean Penn in August, ending the couple's 13-year on/off marriage, and as their legal separation nears, the actress is furious strangers can read about the intricate details of the split in tabloid magazines.
She tells Redbook magazine, "It never feels good. Yes, it's divorce; it's a given that it will be public. But... it's so disrespectful: 'You're an actress, you owe us this?' 'F--k you,' is what I say."
But Wright Penn is optimistic about the future: "(It'll be) new beginnings, definitely. For my career too."
