Fortunately, New York does not have the same reputation when it comes to weddings as Vegas does. The Humanist Ethical Society of Spirituality is a new "church" where couples may marry and other ceremonies may be held at anytime. Nonreligious, civil, nondenominational, spiritual, single-faith, religious, and nonreligious ceremonies are performed by an experienced registered (marriage) officiant who has performed 130+ weddings, vow renewals, and baby blessings in this tiny chapel for ten in the urban village of Kew Gardens, Queens (NYC). All ceremonies come with the services of a professional photographer. In fact, the tiny chapel doubles as a studio where folks can have engagement&family portraits taken as well.

With a honorarium starting at just $175, couples who marry at NYchapel.com are able to receive professional wedding portraits, select their own vows, have a completely nonreligious or religious ceremony, and even request a special reading or rite for a fraction of the normal cost. Together with her husband, the registered marriage officiant (ID#77862) and Humanist Minister here will also pledge to support couples and their families before, during, and after their ceremony by always offering informal "therapy," although pre-marital counseling is not required.

The chapel room is currently teal with a simple arbor, seating for six plus two standing witnesses, and has proper lighting equipment for post-ceremony portraits. Wedding music and props (unity candle set, garter, parasol, fans, dried flower bouquet, ring bearer pillow, flower girl basket, etc) are available. This humanist chapel welcomes EVERYONE.

They also travel to ceremony sites selected by the couple in the NY Metro region.
