January Jones is a Golden Globe nominated actress, best known for playing the elusive, complex Betty Draper in AMC's Mad Men. But her talent wasn’t obvious to one ex-boyfriend: Ashton Kutcher.
Jones is on the cover of this month's GQ, and in the accompanying interview she reveals her ex's non-prescience.

'The guy I was dating when I first got to L.A. was not supportive of my acting,' she says. 'He was like, I don't think you're going to be good at this. So—fuck you! He only has nice things to say now—if anything, I should thank him. Because the minute you tell me I can't do something, that’s when I'm most motivated.'
So what's happening in her love life now? According to GQ,
Jones has dated her share of high-profile guys (Kutcher, soft-rock crooner Josh Groban), but after the breakup of a several-year relationship earlier this spring, she's now dating a friend she has known for eight years, a lawyer who lives in Oregon. ("What I want is James Brolin in Amityville Horror, minus the horror. A guy with a beard who can swing an ax.")
Hopefully this guy is supportive or her career. Other juicy tidbits from the interview include the origin of January's first name:

Her parents plucked it from the lead character in Jacqueline Susann’s Once Is Not Enough, a romantic novel that climaxes with a drug-fueled, ellipsis-filled orgy. ("Someone was spreading her legs…in and out…in and out…fuck…suck…everyone was loving her." January: "Imagine realizing you're named after that character.")
Depite its potential for high drama, we're guessing we won't ever see January acting in the role of her namesake. Sorry, boys.
