Emmy Rossum's Secret Marriage Ends In Divorce

A mere two months ago, Emmy Rossum, of The Day After Tomorrow and Phantom of the Opera fame, let the cat out of the bag in regards to her secret marriage. Now that cat wants her to foot the bill on the divorce proceedings and include spousal support in the severance package.

According to Us Weekly, the 23-year-old actress had been secretly married to Interscope exec Justin Siegel for less than two years. The pair had wed—or at least signed paperwork—in February 2008 after dating since 2007.

A Perez Hilton source states, "Emmy and Justin decided to keep that part of their relationship a secret and out of the media spotlight. They wanted to keep it private in order to prevent their marriage from coming under scrutiny."

Well if Siegel didn't want scrutiny, perhaps he should have possessed a little more tact when filing divorce papers on Friday.
