Justin Guarini Marries Girlfriend
American Idol runner-up ties the knot, dances to sad song.

Justin Guarini, the runner-up to Kelly Clarkson way back in the first season of American Idol, married his high school sweetheart Saturday in Pennsylvania. Justin and Reina Capodici, who has a four-year-old daughter, Lola, from a previous relationship, originally planned to marry in July, but pushed the date back due to their busy schedules, which is quite surprising, as we would have thought the market for live performances of select From Justin to Kelly scenes would be limited.
The couple met in junior high, when Reina's mother was Justin's English teacher, but did not start dating until December 2007. And although they had planned to get married either this summer or next year, according to various reports, Justin says now was the right time. "We just wanted to be married so badly," he said. "I thought to myself, 'It's time.' Seeing how much we both had grown, how well we operated together, and how in love we are, it just made absolute sense." 5 White-Hot Wedding Trends
It was a big weekend for celebrity weddings, with Jaime Pressly and Simran Singh as well as Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom saying their I dos. Justin and Reina personalized their ceremony by writing their own vows and then dancing their first dance to the version of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" recorded by Jeff Buckley. Which, honestly, people, is not a wedding song and never was, even before it was used in the atrocious sex scene in Watchmen. It is a song about heartbreak and adultery, for crying out loud. And it's about as clichéd as Etta James's "At Last" at this point. Please, for all that's decent. Dance to "Poker Face" or something. It'll be bizarre, obnoxious, and possibly intersexed, but at least it'll be original. We've Only Just Begun…to Pick a Terrible First Dance Song
