Zooey Deschanel's Wedding Details

Zooey Deschanel weds Death Cab for Cutie's Ben Gibbard. (Read why Twilight fans care.)

Gorgeous (500) Days of Summer star and indie musician Zooey Deschanel, 29, married Death Cab for Cutie frontman Ben Gibbard in a private ceremony outside Seattle on Saturday night.

The couple dated for almost a year before Ben popped the question to Zooey last December, just after the holidays. Since then she's sported a Neil Lane engagement ring (three carats and platinum - wow!).

Zooey's wedding gown was form-fitting, and sources say she worked out religiously to slim down for it. She took classes Pure Barre and Bar Method ballet classes in Los Angeles to tone up long and lean, often attending two classes in a row.

Meanwhile wedding guests included Natalie Portman and James Franco, co-stars in the upcoming Your Highness, which they've been filming in Belfast, Northern Ireland. It's reported Zooey's older sister Emily Deschanel, a star in the television series Bones, was also present.

Ben grew up outside of Seattle, which is why the wedding took place there. (An interesting aside is that Zooey's parents are in the movie business, her dad a famous cinematographer and her mom and actress.)

When the couple were engaged, a source said, "Zooey was swept off her feet, and Ben is so excited." Death Cab for Cutie's song "Meet Me on the Equinox" will appear in the Twilight sequel New Moon in late November.

I love Zooey Deschanel. She has the best hair in Hollywood.
