Chris Noth and his girlfriend of five years, Tara Lynn Wilson, have a twenty-month-old son and a relationship that's defied the Hollywood three-year itch. But despite recent reports that Tara Lynn is sporting a skating rink on the fourth finger of her left hand, Chris is denying that the pair plans to wed. Photographers at a fashion show on Sunday snapped Tara Lynn's ring and congratulated Chris, to which he replied, "Thank you."
But Monday the actor and his publicist denied the engagement reports. "Not true," he told GossipCop.com. In a text message, which is how hep cats like 54-year-old Chris communicate these days, the man himself said that a report in OK! was "completely bogus" and "made up." OK then! Maybe the two are going for a Kurt Russell–Goldie Hawn type of arrangement and if that works for them, that's great. No reason Tara Lynn shouldn't have some sparkly jewelry to look at in the mean time. Is Traditional Marriage On Its Last Legs?
Tara Lynn and Chris met in 2004 when she was working at his New York bar and performance venue, The Cutting Room. Their son, Orion, was born in January 2008, and the couple splits their time between New York and Toronto; they co-own a tea room in nearby Windsor. Chris is shooting the sequel to 2008's Sex and the City feature film in New York these days, and Tara Lynn last appeared in the direct-to-DVD feature Frame of Mind, which starred Chris.
