Chris Robinson Gets A Baby & Kate Hudson, A Ring

Moving on from their split, things are getting serious for these two ex-lovebirds.

When a couple splits, the competition begins. Who will move on first? Who will find love and who will find heartbreak? And, yes, the other is keeping track.

In the case of Kate Hudson, 30, and Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson, 42, we seem to have a checkmate.

While his ex-wife, Kate Hudson, is playing house with Yankees star Alex Rodriguez, rocker Chris Robinson is getting ready to play daddy—again.

The Black Crowes frontman, 42, and girlfriend Allison Bridges are expecting their first child together, his rep told People.com.

The couple, who began dating in 2007, will welcome their new addition in early 2010.

This will be the second child for Robinson, who has a 5½-year-old son, Ryder Russell, with Hudson, who was recently spotted rocking a sparkly diamond band on her left ring finger at a Yankees game. Daily News

That's right, Chris may have a baby on the way, but Kate has just been "frosted" by A-Rod, i.e. given some serious bling, if you're not familiar with the How To Lose A Guy In Ten Days movie reference.

Is that an engagement ring? Maybe, as she was seen rocking that sparkly thing on her left finger. Although there has been no confirmation from representatives from either star on whether the engagement rumors are true, here's what we do know: Five months into their relationship, Kate Hudson has moved into A-Rod's Manhattan digs and is purportedly "very serious about him."

That must make A-Rod feel nice, especially since ex-lover/man-eater Madonna has been flitting about down with barely-legal heart-throb Jesus AND sending flirty text messages with "soul mate" Sean Penn. Madonna Helping Sean Penn Cope With Divorce?
