Dueling pool parties and what you missed this weekend in the Gosselin family saga.
It's been a big few days for the Gosselin brood, with twins Cara and Madeline starting third grade last Thursday, and the sextuplets starting pre-kindergarten last Friday.
The start of a new school year has always been a prescription for jangled nerves and anxious anticipation of things to come. But this year, the autumnal air brings more than new pencils, new books, and new teachers with dirty looks. This year the dirty looks are being tossed about at home as well.
The Gosselin children lined up for pictures in their first-day-of-school outfits while their parents arrived in separate cars around 7 a.m. Paparazzi pics showed Jon and Kate playing nice—at least initially, gathering up each child in their arms wishing them well and good luck for the day. But as soon as the bus doors closed, things got testy between the parents, with People magazine catching a video of Kate throwing accusations at Jon through the window of his sports car.
It doesn't help that the photogs enjoy egging the pair on: "Kate," one chimed, "do you feel like you're taking Jon back to school when he acts like a 15-year-old?" Jon Gosselin Surrounded By Ladies In Vegas
Perhaps she does, but she's not letting him spoil her fun. While Jon spent the weekend partying it up amongst bikini glad twenty-somethings, Kate hosted her own pool party on Saturday at her $1.1 million home in Wernersville, Pa., where guests included "best friend" and bodyguard Steve Neild. While the jucier storyline would include slip-and-slide shenanigans between the romantically rumored pair, the reality is that Mrs. Neild and son were also in attendance for the cookout.
Today, it was only Kate at the bus stop. Where was jon? According to Us Magazine, he was meeting with Ed Hardy designer Christian Audigier at the MAGIC fashion convention in Las Vegas. Perhaps he's thinking of starting his own line. Kate Gosselin Shines As Single Mom
