New York Daily News and Huffington Post have just reported that Avril Lavigne and husband Deryck Whibley of Sum41 are headed for divorce. The last time they were photographed together was nearly nine months ago in December, and since then, Avril has been spending a lot of "me" time and girls' nights with her pals.

The split lit up last weekend in the Hamptons when Avril was caught partying all night with a bunch of dudes, minus Deryck. It's reported that she paranoidly kept asking paparazzi to show her the photos they were snapping of her. NY Daily News reports that one site that had posted photos of her antics suspiciously snatched them down, suggesting Avril and her lawyers requested the action.

Why the distance between her and her skater boy? "She wanted to get away from Deryck and have a weekend to herself," a source close to Avril said. Okay, a weekend...but a whole year? Meanwhile Deryck had stayed in Los Angeles for the Transformers premiere, but as some of us have learned the hard way, "bi-coastal" and "romance" are rarely two words seen in the same phrase.

It's reported Deryck had been working on Avril's new album, which is scheduled to hit shelves in November—however, music industry insiders have said that Avril is completely solo on the project, as she may be in her life.
