Man wanted for wife's killing located in Canada.
Ryan Jenkins, the contestant on VH1's Megan Wants a Millionaire and I Love Money 3 who was charged with the gruesome murder of his wife, model Jasmine Fiore, was found dead Sunday in a western Canada motel room. Sources say Jenkins hanged himself with his own belt in the Thunderbird Motel outside Vancouver.
Fiore, a swimsuit model who had worked for Playboy, met and married Jenkins in March. They became estranged in May and he was charged in Las Vegas in June with misdemeanor battery for hitting her, but the couple had reportedly reconciled by August 14, when they were last seen together at a poker party. Fiore's mutilated body was discovered the next day, August 15, stuffed into a suitcase that was in a trash bin.
Jenkins was a finalist on VH1's show Megan Wants a Millionaire, in which Rock of Love veteran Megan Hauserman sought a sugar daddy from a group of what we thought were gross and creepy but fairly harmless allegedly rich guys. He also reportedly won the third installment of the channel's self-explanatory show I Love Money, which filmed earlier this year in Mexico while Jenkins and Fiore were estranged. VH1 has pulled future episodes of Megan and has not yet made a decision about airing I Love Money 3.
Fiore's mother appeared on The Today Show this morning to speak about her daughter's death and Jenkins's suspected suicide. "It brings some closure to what's been going on," Lisa Lepore said. "We don't have to worry about looking for him anymore or being worried that he is a threat to any other women or men."
Police are following up on additional information concerning Fiore's murder, according to Buena Park Police Lt. Steve Holiday, who said Sunday, "The sadness of this all is that Mr. Jenkins will not stand before an Orange County jury for his crime."
There is, of course, another explanation if Jenkins didn't commit suicide: Hope, BC, where Jenkins's body was found, is just 250 miles from Forks, Washington. So obviously Edward Cullen has become some kind of vigilante, cleaning up the wife-beating-and-murdering scum of the earth. Either that or Jenkins killed and mutilated his wife and then took the easy way out rather than facing justice. It's definitely one of those two options.
