While that may not be exactly what was on Tom Brady's mind when he told Details that he wants "a lot of kids," we're currently imagining him with his own pee-wee football team. Brady talked about his relationship with supermodel Gisele Bundchen and about how he learned about and handled news of his ex-girlfriend's pregnancy. Brady's first son, John (aka Jack) is now 2 years old. He was born to Brady's ex, actress Bridget Moynahan. It was after Brady and Moynahan broke up that he learned of her pregnancy, noting the situation forced him to "grow up in a lot of ways."
An enlightened Brady also explains:
That's not how you envisioned your life, that's not how you envisioned having children, but it happens. ... Life is not living in the suburbs with a white picket fence. That's not life. Somehow our American culture has made it out that that's what life needs to be—and that if it's not that, it's all screwed up. It's not. You go through life and you try the best you can.
Brady said that his son changed his life, whereas once he considered an hour a commitment but now he spends hours chasing Jack around without much thought.
And the footballer really likes children. "I want a lot of kids," he said. "I'd love four or five. We'll see. It's not always my decision."
In related news, Brady declined to say whether or not Bundchen is preggers, but did said that when it happens, it will be "obvious."
