Michael Jackson Wanted To Date Katie Couric
Michael Jackson asked Katie Couric on a date in 2000.

Last night on David Letterman Katie Couric revealed that in 2000 Michael Jackson asked her out on a date, via Rabbi Shmuley Boteach (author of Rabbi's Rx For Sexless Marriage). You can watch the clip on Gawker, but here's what Katie told Letterman:
"Rabbi Shmuley, who was Michael Jackson's spiritual advisor, arranged for me to meet Michael Jackson in 2000. So I went to the Four Seasons hotel. He had booked four floors. I met him, he was very kind… I was kind of nervous. We shook hands, he was very sweet, he had kind of [gestures to her face] weird tape on his nose because I think he had a lot of nose surgery going on at the time. And he told me he was working on a screenplay about Edgar Allen Poe. We had a very nice conversation. I wanted to do an interview with him at some point."
A day later Rabbi Shmuley called her.
"He said, 'Katie, it's Rabbi Shmuley.' I said, 'Hi Rabbi Shmuley.' So he said, 'Are you seeing anyone?' So I said, 'Ew, Rabbi Shmuley, that's so weird, you have ten children, why are you asking me that?' And he said, 'Michael was interested in taking you out on a date.'" "And I said, 'Actually, I'm seeing someone. I'm very flattered, I really appreciate it, I really admire his work, but I can't do it. But could he come moonwalk in my kitchen for my kids. I didn't say that."
Was Katie seeing really someone back then, or was that just an excuse because she didn't want to go on a date with the King of Pop?
