Orlando Loves Miranda More Than Pirates

Orlando Bloom and Victoria's Secret model Miranda Kerr are so crazy about each other that he's turning down work. The 32-year-old former elf declined to participate in a possible fourth Pirates of the Caribbean movie, the smash franchise that has already earned him millions, because the long shoot (the last one was interrupted by hurricanes) would take him away from his girlfriend of almost two years.

Orlando and Miranda, when not participating in conventions for people named after Shakespeare characters, recently bought a house in Malibu for a reported $13 million. "They seem so happy together," a source told X17 Online. "You could see Miranda getting all dreamy-eyed when they looked at this house. It was beautiful—right on the beach." And while Orlando has reportedly asked Miranda to marry him several times, and she has even flashed what photographers thought was an engagement ring, we hear that the 26-year-old Australian keeps turning him down. Which is kind of mean. All he'd have to do is put on those pointy elf ears, crook a finger in our direction, and…wait. This is not about us.

Maybe Miranda's skittishness has to do with her ex; she used to date that shaggy bloke Jay Lyon from The City, remember, the one who led Whitney Port on while she just gawped glassily and Olivia Palermo seethed in the background? The one whose name, let's face it, sounds like "lying"? Come on, that is not a coincidence. Miranda's probably a little leery of skinny dark-haired guys and is just being cautious. Maybe it would help if Orlando put his Legolas wig on. If nothing else it might help him get another job close to home. Legolas always did look like a bit of a beach bum.
