We never thought we'd say this, but here goes: we might be a little jealous of Jon Gosselin. That's right. Jealous. Initially, we just thought, "It must be nice to be paid to go on vacations with your enormous family." Then we thought, "It must be kind of fun to be romantically linked to such a bevy of questionable women." But then, without even realizing we were thinking out loud, we said, "It must be really warm and sweet and cozy to have Micheal Lohan as your new BFF."

Cozy as cozy can be.

You see, when Michael Lohan is your new BFF, you don't have to talk to the press anymore. He will talk to the press for you. When Michael Lohan is your new BFF, you don't have to explain what's happening in your broken marriage. He will do all the explaining. And when Michael Lohan is your new BFF, you don't have to worry about constantly having that nasty spotlight focused on you and you alone. He will step right up and share the spotlight with you. In explaining Jon's current relationship with Kate, for example, Michael told People: "Jon would love to be friends with her. They had eight kids together and he would like to work things out the right way and just be friends." In Defense Of Kate Gosselin

As for whether Jon's getting it on with Haily Glassman (the daughter of his estranged wife's plastic surgeon) or Kate Major (the former Star reporter) these days, Michael says: "He's not with either one right now. He's not concentrating on a relationship with any woman. He just wants to take a step back and deal with his family and his kids."

Finally, and perhaps most impotantly, Michael hints that Jon's star will just continue to rise: "A lot of opportunities are opening up for him."

What kinds of opportunties? Will Michael be involved in them? Or (we can only dream) Lindsay Lohan? We'll just have to wait for Michael's next chat with the media to find out; which, considering his vocal and hands-on friendship with Jon, probably will be before the end of the weekend.
