I've found a peck on the cheek then linger close to him just for a second or two longer then is necessary does the trick. It's a good move if you're not sure he's into you, wait until you're leaving then give him a hug and kiss goodbye. that's how I got my guy.

Went on a date with a very scared old timer ( I'm one also) We decided to go for a ride ,took my car , (he's was not clean) He was driving and behaved like if I was going to pounce on him at any minute . I calmed him down by not looking at him but at the road while talking.The date lasted an hour.He wanted to evaporate if it had been possible .
