Got Questions? Got Answers? Ask YourTango

Our Ask YourTango feature is THE place for you to give and receive relationship advice.

When it comes to love (and relationships), everyone's an expert. And everyone is hopelessly lost. And everyone is somewhere in between. On top of that, everyone has questions that they feel goofy about asking their friends, family and local clergy. In addition, everyone has answers to questions that their family, friends and local clergy are just not asking them

The "ask an expert a question" format has been around since the advent of print and then digital media. The opportunity to anonymously ask a wise person (a real wise guy) a question about your relationship (and love and sex and dating) has kept the likes of Dear Abby, Ann Landers, Dear Margo, Dan Savage, Prudence and my faves Em & Lo in business for years. Their advice is generally reasoned and thoughtful, but it, like all advice, is tempered by their individual experiences and bias.

That's why YourTango created our Ask YourTango feature. There's a good chance that the collected experience and wiles of our users will outclass that of any one (or two or three or five) people when it comes to answering tough, nuanced questions. So, when you feel like you've got it all figured out, check in and share the wisdom. When you feel like you have a problem that's the relationship equivalent of a popcorn kernel stuck between your first and second molar, leave it for the YourTango community, staff and contributors to help you muddle through. If it's a particularly good one, we'll have some of our experts make a video of it (like this one with Matt and Tamsen). And if you're feeling neither needy nor giving, satisfy your curiosity by seeing what the community is asking and telling each other.

If you have two seconds and want to tell us about the very open-ended "Ugly Truth" about dating, click here. Otherwise, keep checking back in with Ask YourTango, someone could use your help and someone else would love to help you.
