The first-ever National Single Cougars Convention will be held in Palo Alto, California, hosted by the Society of Single Professionals, the country's largest non-profit organization for singles. The event will be held at Dinah's Garden Hotel on Friday, August 28.

Age requirement for men? Each potential suitor must be at least 21 years of age. For an affordable $20, older women from any state in the country can meet and greet in Silicon Valley to have their pick of younger men in the area touted as being the "only" major metropolitan area in America with a "surplus" of single men. The singles organization hosts other theme parties that caught our eye, such as "Single Men and the Women Who Love Them" on August 8 in San Francisco and  a "Soul Mate Quest Weekend" in Pleasanton at the end of July.

We're glad to see this group bringing singles together. And, we have to say, Cali women couldn't ask for more ways to specify your search, whether it's the young stallion or the shy guy who's most desirable.
