According to the New York Daily News (and her Twitter account), Ivanka Trump is now engaged to real estate heir Jared Kushner. Ivanka, now engaged three times, tweeted on Thursday, "I got engaged last night ... truly the happiest day of my life!!!" Jared's rep later confirmed the posting. Jared and Ivanka have been dating for two years, but split briefly in 2008 over Ivanka's conversion to Judaism. (The Kushners are Jewish while Ivanka is not.) While there are been rumors that dad Donald has been less-than-impressed by his daughter's choice of mates, according to the Us Weekly, he's thrilled at the news. "I'm very happy about it," The Donald said. "They make a magnificent couple."
No details on the ring except that a source close to the couple reports it's "stunning." Meanwhile, Ivanka said told New York magazine:
The good news is, there's not a tremendous amount of compromise, because we're in the same industry. There are a lot of work-oriented dinners that he may have—and while a normal girlfriend in an unrelated field would find it incredibly boring—it's fascinating to me.
