Joey McIntyre Has A New Kid On The Way

So there's a new kid on the way for singer Joey McIntyre.

According to People, the New Kids On The Block musician and his wife, Barrett Williams, are expecting a second baby boy in the family. Their first child, Griffin, was born in 2007. How Loving A Boy Band Shaped My Life

McIntyre told People:

My wife actually took the pregnancy test but she thought it was negative. ... She came out and gave me this look like, 'No.' Then she showed me the test and I said 'It's positive! What the hell?'

While the couple told the magazine that they thought the newcomer was going to be a girl, they're actually expecting another boy. They're still hoping for girl in the future.

"I think we have a deal to keep going until we have a girl. ... That's what my wife says," McIntyre, 36, told People.

McIntyre himself comes from a large family, being the youngest of nine children. But, don't expect any sibling rivalry from within the McIntyre clan. McIntyre said Griffin couldn't be more excited about the pregnancy, and shows it by kissing Williams' stomach.

McIntyre and Williams have been married since 2003. McIntyre is currently on tour with NKOTB. The group released their latest album in September 2008, and their tour is wraps up this week.

While on the road, the boys have been proving they have the right stuff, by collecting books for kids through the Let's Get This Foundation. McIntyre told People that his son inspired the idea. After reading to Griffin one night, McIntyre realized there was a lack of age-appropriate books for kids and called on fans to step up. McIntyre told the magazine he hopes to raise 25,000 books for the cause.
