You ever realize that news (correction: gossip, hearsay and unsubstantiated libel) regarding the Brad Pitt – Angelina Jolie (Brangelina to the initiated) family is like a game of telephone. You start with the idea that Brad and Angelina are doing great and considering another child and you wind up with Angelina is going to leave Brad if he can't retrieve a rare Lotus blossom from the hillsides of Angkor Wat and those kids may actually be genetically spliced clones of the world's greatest generals (Napoleon, Attila The Hun, Hannibal, etc.)

That being said, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's non-married relationship could be "on the rocks." Read: A Real Brad Pitt And Angelina Jolie SPLIT?

We'll start with Celebitchy. Celebitchy is working with two conflicting stories from "good friends / inside sources" of the Brangelinas. One story states that Angelina wants to live apart for a few months under the umbrella of "absence makes the heart grow fonder." And the second story insists that Angelina will leave Brad Pitt if he doesn't spend the summer in France with the family, this philosophy extolling the virtues of the old chestnut "out of sight, out of mind." At least all the bases have been covered.

Then, over at Showbiz Spy, things get a little kooky; we're not going to lie, they get a little weird. Supposedly, Brad Pitt was having a grand, old time in Los Angeles (City of Angels) with a few male chums. Nothing debauched, just boys being boys. But, per the report, Angelina Jolie would have none of it. She flew from New York (where she was making a movie whose chemical name is NaCl*) to LA on the pretense that she missed her Mr. And Mrs. Smith co-star. But "wiser" parties say she didn't want him to break free of her spell.

And, finally, they may be moving to New York. Per The Improper, the couple has been searching for a home in the world's capital Big Apple. Word on the street has it that they're interested in moving into a luxurious building on the city's Upper West Side. The building, The Apthorp, is a giant monolith and allegedly houses such household names as Al Pacino, Cyndi Lauper, Nora Ephron and Conan O'Brien. Parts of the NBC high-concept Ian McShane vehicle, Kings, were shot in the Apthorp.

In summary, we really don't have a great idea what's going on with Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and their family. They could be on a break, they could be making ultimatums, they could be on wicked, low-key stag weekends in Los Angeles or they could be moving to NYC. We're reasonably sure that they're not doing all of these things and that Brad Pitt is in over his head.
