Michael Jackson Is Not The Biological Father

L.A. dermatologist Arnold Klein revealed to be sperm donor for Jackson's oldest kids.

True to his "Billie Jean" lyrics, the kid is not his son—nor is the other kid his daughter.

Following Michael Jackson's sudden death last Thursday, a media firestorm has sparked over the paternity and maternity of the pop legend's two oldest children, Prince, 12, and Paris, 11. Read: Michael Jackson Not Biological Dad Of Rowe's Kids?

At first, TMZ reported that Michael's ex-wife, Debbie Rowe, was not the children's biological mother—a rumor that has since been squashed by Rowe's attorney, Marta Almli:

"The vast majority of what is out there is untrue," Almli said. "Particularly hurtful and insidious is the most recent rumor—which is entirely false—concerning the maternity of the children. Ms. Rowe is the biological mother of the two oldest children."

Now in an Us Weekly exclusive, multiple sources have revealed that Jackson is not the biological dad of Prince and Paris, a fact that may complicate the custody proceedings. Rather, Dr. Arnold Klein, Jackson's L.A.-based dermatologist and Rowe's former employer, has been identified as the sperm donor. Read: My Wife Was Fertile—I Wasn't

"He is the dad," says an inside source, "He and Debbie signed an agreement saying they would never reveal the truth."

Both Prince and Paris were conceived via artificial insemination. Neither Rowe nor Jackson ever hinted at the possibility that Jackson was not the sperm donor, but interviews with Rowe in 2002 implied that she carried the pregnancy as a favor and that the marriage was not consummated.

"I said, 'Let me do this. You need to be a dad. You have been so good to me,'" Rowe has said.

As for the supposed real father? Klein is remaining mum on the matter.

Klein's attorney Richard L. Charnley released a statement to E's Entertainment Tonight: "Because of patient confidentiality Dr. Klein will make no statement on any reports or allegations. Out of respect for his patients and adherence to federal HIPAA regulations, Dr. Klein asks that the media not contact his patients nor interfere with their medical treatments. Like millions of Michael's fans around the world, Dr. Klein is saddened by Michael's death and extends his condolences to Michael's family."
