social networking is meant to be a way to network and meet others, not a substitute for in-person interaction with someone you're trying to foster a relationship.
if a person really wants to stop being single, then he/she should re-evaluate the "list of requirements" they are looking for and why. chances are, those requirements are really just "nice to haves" rather than must haves. having a list of "must not haves" will help to expand potentials while "must have" lists only shrinks the pool.
VERY good point! Make a list of must NOT haves instead of must haves. Seriously great idea!

What do you mean guys are so dependent on you? Maybe I can lend advice but I need to know more.
I'm scared of being in a relationship because the guys I always date seem fine at first, but then they get so over-bearing and so clingy! They want to spend every single day together, and it hurts my social life. Plus, I like them, but I don't LOVE THEM FOREVER UNTIL THE WORLD BLOWS UP like the guys who I date. I'm not ready for marriage yet.
Some good advice, I agree especially at 33 you can't be super picky or you WILL be single for the rest of your life.. don't lower your standards, just be more flexible. :o
