This Father's Day, Jon Celebrates Without Kate

In many ways, it was a typical Father's Day for Jon Gosselin. The day was spent at home with his kids. A Slip-N-Slide was set up in the front lawn for everyone to enjoy. And homemade cards from all eight of his little ones - Cara, Mady, Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Collin, Leah and Joel - commemorated the day. Jon Out Late, Minus Kate

In other ways, however, Jon's special day was far from normal. According to People, four teenage girls paid the reality star a visit. Stopping their car in front of the house, they yelled: "Happy Father's Day, Jon!"

Jon, who was outside with his children, waved and said, "Thank you." Afterwards, he went into the house briefly, and returned with photos of the family, which he then autographed for the girls, as well as other fans and the media who had at that point gathered.

Questions, of course, ensued.

Some wanted to know where Kate was. Jon said he had "no idea." Others wanted to know whether he was, as rumored, divorcing Kate and searching for an apartment for himself in New York. "You'll have to watch the show," he replied. Jon & Kate Make Announcement: Divorce?

When the questions shifted to his children, however, Jon was more forthright. Is Aaden okay? Yes, he hit his head on a corner while running in the house on Saturday, but "they stitched it up and he's fine." Had Jon already opened his cards from the kids? Not yet, that would happen later.

As for the gift his children got him for Father's Day this year, Jon answered like a truly proud papa, saying that the the enjoyment of "spending time with them" was the present they got for him, and the one he was more than happy to receive.
