Jennifer Love Hewitt Makes A Marriage Deadline

Perhaps Jennifer Love Hewitt and Jamie Kennedy need to book an episode with the CW's new show, Hitched or Ditched.

Engagement rumors began percolating in May after an insider told the Chicago Sun-Times that the couple had bought "love" bracelets for each other and were shopping for a ring. And while both stars have since quashed the speculation, it's clear that Ms. Hewitt is more open to the idea than her comedian counterpart. Watch: What To Do If He Doesn't Believe In Marriage

While on Arizona's 104.7 FM Johnjay and Rich radio show recently, the 30-year-old actress addressed the gossip:

"A rumor has come out that Jamie and I supposedly got engaged. The poor guy was on fire. He was like, 'No, no, no. That's not true!' I was like, 'God, would that be the worst thing in the world?! Excuse me, but just for a second, there's a line of people who would probably be OK with that rumor.'"

The Texan beauty has been dating her Ghost Whisperer co-star since January, mere weeks after she broke off her previous month-long engagement with Scottish actor Ross McCall in December.

When asked about a timeline for this new relationship, Love replied, "By this time next year, if we're not planning something, then there's a situation."

Indeed, we think we hear a biological clock ticking, don't you?
