Kate Gosselin Under Fire

Kate Gosselin made the cover of Us Weekly for the fourth straight week, but this time the story isn't about her husband's alleged ladyfriend, their marital troubles, or even her alleged dalliance with the family's bodyguard. It's about Kate's behavior toward her employees and family members, with a former nanny dishing dirt about Kate's authoritarian ways.

Angela Krall, who worked for the Gosselins taking care of the sextuplets when they were infants, says Kate went through 40 (FORTY!) nurses and nurses' aides in just three months, and that she once fired a nurse for washing her hands in the kitchen rather than the bathroom. Kate, for her part, says in this week's issue of People that being on the covers of supermarket tabloids is "hell." (Cognitive dissonance, party of one.) She says the tabloid attention, which includes photographers staking out the family home in Pennsylvania, is "like one of those movies where you have to change your identity and go underground. I've been saying, 'Let's find a country where our show doesn't air, and let's just go there until this all dies.' I have to laugh about this, or else I'll cry. It's a matter of, when will they stop?"

Well, we assume photographers will quickly lose interest in the Gosselins when they can't make any money selling the photographs. And that will probably be when the contention clan isn't on television anymore, but that won’t be happening any time soon; the fifth season of their TLC show begins May 25.
