A week after taking the helm of J.J. Abrams's Star Trek reboot, Chris Pine was spotted out in L.A. with The Hills' Audrina Patridge. The two met for drinks May 15 at the Red Lion Tavern in Silverlake, California, and In Touch reports that Audrina was seen leaving his apartment May 2.

The pair met at the ShoWest convention in Las Vegas last month. He received the male star of tomorrow award, and Audrina got the convention's ladies' counterpart (yeah, we were surprised too). "Chris was looking at Audrina a lot, and you could tell that he thought she looked pretty—he was intrigued," a source told In Touch. Hooking Up: Liberation or Desperation?

Chris reportedly broke up with his girlfriend, Beau Garrett, some time after he met Audrina, who has had her share of crap boyfriends. And although the two have apparently been dating for a few weeks now, neither has commented on whether the relationship is casual or something more serious. Those of us who fall on the Kirk side of the Kirk-Spock debate are hoping it, well, doesn't exactly live long and prosper. But isn't it crazy that all of this stuff is happening while Lauren is gone?
