Sex and the City costars taking opposite view on marriage.
Cynthia Nixon and her longtime girlfriend, Christine Marinoni, have gotten engaged, The Insider reports. Governor David Paterson has introduced a bill legalizing same-sex marriage in New York. If it's passed the state will join Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Iowa in extending marriage equality to all citizens. The bill passed the state assembly last week and is waiting for approval from the state senate. Not Ready to Tie The Knot? See How One Unmarried Couple Does It
Nixon's costar on the HBO series and last summer's hit film, Kristin Davis, was also at the rally for equality yesterday. Davis said last week that she's taking an opposite view on opposite marriage these days. "I don't know if I'll ever get married," she told the New York Daily News. "I don't say never, but I just might not. I'm 44, but I think you can have what you want no matter how old you are!"
