Poll: How Often Do You See Date Movies?

Date movies: do you see them with your guy? Let us know!

It's Saturday night and you're out with your sweetie (or your date). You're the next in line at the ticket window, but you've been arguing all night about which movie to see—a typical "guy movie" packed with action and explosions, or a romantic comedy with a swoon-worthy lead? In the battle at the box office, how many times do you win?

Can you relate?

We agree on most movies, but we have our own preferences that the other flat out refuses to watch.

I have no desire to see Bruno. She has no desire to see Astro Boy.

But we both can't wait to catch 9 and Avatar!

We usually have a great balance, but if there is a lot of male bashing and negativity, I will go with the girls.

What I am looking forward to see is whether the Mortal Kombat will have a remake. If you remember the last Mortal Kombat movie, Mortal Kombat Annihilation, you'll remember that it was not what would be called a good film. Mortal Kombat Annihilation did not do well at the box office, or with reviewers, and failed to achieve the success of the video game series. However, a lot of fans think a fast loan towards redemption is in order, and a new film in the works. The new film will be released in 2010, and the rumor is that original cast member Christopher Lambert will reprise his role from the first installment. If it does well, it may well mean credit repair from the negative impression of Mortal Kombat Annihilation.

Ha! My kids win on this one. The last movie I saw in a theater was "Hotel for Dogs."

I'm enjoying my DVDs of McLeod's Daughters TV series, though.
