After weeks of speculation and fuzzy reports, Us Weekly has confirmed that Jon Gosselin, father of eight, has been having an affair with 23-year-old third-grade teacher Deanna Hummel for several months. The magazine's website has footage of Jon leaving her home early on a March morning, most likely while his wife, Kate, was out of town promoting her latest book, Eight Little Faces. Cheater or Cheated, What's Worse?

Five sources in the Us cover story confirm that Jon and Deanna have been dating since they met in January at a Pennsylvania bar. "She's a nice girl, not a homewrecker," Deanna’s brother, Jason, told Us. "This isn't healthy for her. But she is refusing to help herself, so here I am trying to help her myself. I hope this clears the air." Yeah, we're betting Ms. Hummel isn't going to be speaking to her brother any time soon.

Although the two oldest Gosselin kids, twins Cara and Mady, are in the third grade, Deanna is not their teacher. The sextuplets' fifth birthday is—oh, this is uncomfortable—on Sunday, Mother's Day. So far Kate Gosselin hasn't commented on the situation, and we can't blame her for wanting to keep out of the public eye right now. There are also no indications of what effect the affair might have on the fifth season of their TLC show, Jon & Kate Plus 8, which is supposed to begin airing later this month. "Jon & Kate Plus 8 Plus Some Other Lady" just doesn’t rhyme.
