Khloe Kardashian Tries To Out-Do Kim
Younger sister gets year's hottest accessory, her own running back.

With the news that Kim Kardashian has already purchased her own engagement ring, even though boyfriend Reggie Bush hasn't proposed, her sister Khloe anted up with her own football player. She stepped out for dinner Thursday night with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' Derrick Ward, who, like Bush, is an NFL running back. Khloe and Derrick had dinner at L.A.'s Katsu-Ya, and Khloe posted snaps on her website last month of the two hanging out in the pool on a Mexican getaway for sister Kourtney's 30th birthday. "I love Kourt's birthday trip," read Khloe's post, which was tagged with Ward's name, but didn't mention him. "All we do for four days is sit by the pool and lounge with our BFF's [sic]. So fun!!!!!"

Of course, the Kardashian ladies' affection for athletes didn't start with Kim and Reggie. Mom Kris is married to Olympic gold medalist Bruce Jenner, after all. Khloe previously dated NBA player Rashad McCants, a guard for the Sacramento Kings, and frankly we're a little surprised the sisters weren't in New York staking out all the fresh meat at the NFL Draft last weekend. Poll: Who's Hotter, Football or Soccer Players?

Khloe and Derrick are just the latest in a proud and pretty hot tradition of famous ladies who like to sleep with athletes. We just hope this new relationship goes more along the Tom and Gisele, Posh and Becks, Tony and Eva route than the unfortunate McEnroe–O'Neal or Elisha Cuthbert and (ugh) Sean Avery trajectories. Or, God forbid, Chuck Finley and Tawny Kitaen. No one came out of that smelling good.
