User Qverb is a guy who's here to answer all of our questions. He weighted in on the boxers v. briefs controversy going on over here and laid it out for us like this:

I'm all briefs. No matter how loose the jeans my boxers and boxer briefs ride on up and create tremendous wedgies. Uncomfortable as all hell and not exactly attractive when your arm is in your jeans up to your elbow trying to straighten them out. I tend to be pretty active throughout the day, and after some of the underwear I've had to use during performances wearing briefs is like a blessing.

Innnnnnteresting. Okay Q, what about boxer briefs or did i just blow your mind?
