Singer Pink and her motocross-racing estranged husband, Carey Hart, will exchange marriage vows again at their house in Malibu, In Touch magazine reported, just over a year after they separated and seven months after "So What," Pink's single about the breakup, hit #1 on the Billboard chart.
Pink (born Alecia Moore) and Carey married in Costa Rica in January 2006, five years after they met at the X Games, where Hart was competing for Best Trick. They separated in February 2008, but that didn't stop Carey from making an appearance in the video for her revenge song, "So What," which has the lyric "Guess I just loss my husband/I don't know where he went" and the chorus "So what, I'm still a rock star, I got my rock moves/And I don't need you/And guess what, I'm having more fun/And now that we're done I'm going to show you tonight/I'm all right, I'm just fine/And you're a tool." That kind of not-holding-a-grudge good nature is what we value in exes, really.
E! Online reported that Carey moved back into the home they shared in Malibu in January, and now In Touch's source says the pair is planning a summer recommitment: "It will be very simple and small, with just their family and a few close friends."
The reasons for the split are known only to Pink and Carey, but a friend speculates it's as simple as too much work and too little quality time. "They broke up because of their busy careers, but they never stopped loving each other," the source says. "They've always had a bond, but they needed time apart to realize that they wanted to continue their marriage." All together now: Awwww.
