Marriage is not open, happiness abounds.

It's been speculated more than once that Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith are both gay, that they openly sleep with other people, and that the only reason they're together is so they can continue to get non-gay film roles.

But it seems that Jada has had enough of the rumors. And in a new interview with National Public Radio, she addresses them head-on, stating: "I don't have an open marriage and no, we're not gay – and you don't trust that? Well then there's nothing that I really have to say to anybody about anything, because at the end of the day, I'm living my life, and I'm happy."

Go on with your happy, bad self, Jada. We believe you (even if you do sound a bit overly defensive). Not because we think there's something wrong with homosexuality or because we think there's something wrong with unconventional marriage arrangements. But because the rumors all seemed to have been founded on ridiculous premises.

First, just because you play a gay man in a movie (Six Degrees of Separation, Will) doesn't mean that you're gay any more than playing a straight man in a movie means you're straight (ahem, Tom Cruise).

Second, spending a lot of free time with a closeted gay man and his beard (please note, we are not specifically referring to Tom Cruise in this instance) does not make you gay or a beard either.

If you need proof on either of these points, just ask Posh and Becks.

Not that they're gay either.

Or straight.

Uh, yeah.

Enjoy that heterosexuality, Jada.
