Jade Goody Passes Away

British reality star Jade Goody passed away Sunday morning at her family home in England after a long battle with cervical cancer. Goody, who received mixed reviews for living her life on camera, became a symbol of living life with bravery during her battle with the disease, going so far as to have her wedding to new husband Jack Tweed televised on BBC. OK! reportedly paid £700,000 to cover the event, the entire amount of which Goody stipulated be passed on to her sons, Bobby, 5 and Freddy, 4.

Prime Minister Gordon Brown said of Goody’s passing, "The whole country has admired her determination to provide a bright future for her children. She will be remembered fondly by all who knew her and her family can be extremely proud of the work she has done to raise awareness of cervical cancer, which will benefit thousands of women across the UK."

We would like to offer our condolences to Goody’s family and our respect for Goody. It takes a tremendous belief in love to marry someone in the twilight hours of life. We salute her for having the bravado to live life out loud.
